Things That Make You Go Hmmm...

I had a dream last night. I'm not really comfortable sharing it here as it could present me in a bad light. No, it definitely would. But it's left me conflicted, to say the least. Let's just say, without too much detail, that something bad happened in this dream... but in the dream, and when I woke up, I wasn't that bothered. In fact, in my dream this bad thing happened and all I thought was, true story, "Hey, I bet I can get an extension on my test and paper because of this!"

Isn't it ironic (or is it... I'm so confused over how to use that word since Alanis) that you can feel guilty about not feeling guilty?

So we're a week away from Guatemala. We've gotten some bad news that it is completely plausible that the dogs will not be able to come with us. AA has strict regulations that say if it is forecast to be 85 degrees or over in any city you fly to or thru on the day you fly, then they won't take dogs. We're flying through Miami... on the 10-day forecast, it's supposed to be 89 that day. Keep your fingers crossed that a cold front will pass through. I don't want to leave them behind. We're lucky to have some wonderful friends who have offered to keep them until the temperature drops enough that we can come get them. But it makes me so sad to think of leaving them. You can't explain to dogs that you'll be back. They just think you've left them. Of course, with all the times we've left them and then come back, I think if we ever did really give them up, they would expect us to come back for their whole lives. I guess the biggest difference this time is that we're seperating them. They've never been away from us and each other before. This really makes me very unhappy.

I'm almost done with Auburn this semester. A paper and a test to go. I will finish both tomorrow or Saturday. Oh yeah I will!! WAR EAGLE!!!

Tomorrow= RASCAL FLATTS!! What a great anniversary present!!!

  1. I'm a couple weeks behind, but I'm curious to hear the update on your dogs--I can imagine leaving them with friends for a while would be super hard. I"m sorry to hear you had this stress to deal with :(

Do your dogs travel well when they fly? Did they have to get used to it? I'd love to fly with ours out to Atlanta but I'm not sure they're really capable of dealing with the trip...
