In the past, I have blamed many things on communism- long lines at the grocery store, my car being out of gas, even an allergy attack. None of these were actual results of communism. However, my long absence from this blog can be blamed on one thing and one thing alone- Communism. The rumor was that China was trying to block a lot of information and discussion revolving around the 20th anniversary of Tiennamen Square. Was this true? I can't say. But I can say that blogspot, wordpress, youtube and even hotmail were blocked for a time. Hotmail is the only one that had been unblocked when I left.
So I'm finally back. In a couple of ways- both as a blogger and I'm back in GA. We had an uneventful, if not turbulence-filled trip from China. We are reacquainting ourselves with our beautiful home and the dogs are getting to used to grass, space, and stairs in a house. They don't really know what to make of all this room. But they seem happy.
This summer will be fun. It's nice to be looking forward to the next adventure. Guatemala is only 6 weeks away and we're both very excited. Tomorrow we leave for the NJ shore to visit with Dave's family for a few days. I'm going to enjoy a coupld of days at the beach!
Welcome back to the states!! Wooo Hooo! See you Sunday in Savannah! COme naked - it's hot as Hades here :)
