I made a Hat... and other Oddities

This morning on my walk to school, I passed a man in bed. Yes, you read that correctly. On the sidewalk, between me and the street, was a man, asleep in a bed. Not a sleeping bag, not a mattress, but a full bed, metal head- and foot board and all. And he was sound asleep. How he could sleep with the traffic on his left, people scurrying to work on his right and the sound of a buzz saw or something similar coming from across the street I don't know. But he was tucked in tight, his shoes laid beside each other under the edge of the bed and his arm thrown across his eyes to block the morning sun.

China amuses me.

So I made a hat. I know it's not cold anymore but I will wear it when the cold season returns. And before you say it, yes, apparently it does get chilly in Guatemala. And we do plan to doing some mountain trips/hikes where it will undoubtedly be cool if not down right cold. So wipe that sassy grin off your face and hope and pray that I make YOU a hat too!

Dave is coming home from Xi'an today. I'm glad! The week has gone quickly, but it's definitely more fun with him around. And that's a good thing.

My heart is with my friend Marissa who lost a very special family member this week. I know that Missy will be missed.
