Dave spent Friday morning at the golf course, partaking of the free tequila shots being offered. I'm not sure he remembers much of that day... :) He did tell me that he was sober enough to make a par from the kitchen. I still don't know where the hole was supposed to be.
Saturday Dave had rugby practice and I took the doggies to school to play. They love running around our campus and it's all closed in so I can let them run and play without worrying about losing them. Then I dropped them off for a haircut and a wash and went and got my own hair chopped off. I'm still getting used to it- it seems a little Carol Brady to me. Well, looking at this picture, maybe not so much... but I'm still not in love with it yet. (Pip's new haircut is below.)
Sunday I took the dogs for their weekly Puppy Play Date. We meet upwith friends Brian and his English Bulldog Mancha and Jaime and Guillermo and their dogs Max and Messi. We used to go play at school but lately we've been going to Brian's apartment complex (also totally fenced in). This is more fun because it can involve Bloody Mary's. Then we went to brunch with some friends. Expensive but really nice... if you eat meat. I paid about $25 for a salad and some dessert. That's not true- it was a champagne brunch so I probably got my monies worth!

Monday was a lazy day until about 2pm when I got antsy and decided to start painting. Our house, which is amazingly huge, was also atrociously painted when we moved in. Slowly, we've tackled the paint, room by room. The last big thing to do was the hallway, which was orange. We've decided that white will be just fine and have made some progress. We'll probably finish by this weekend and then I will finally feel settled and peaceful in the house.
And that was our staycation. It wasn't much of an adventure, that's for sure. But it was really nice and relaxing and we had a good time together.
Next time, though, you better Belize we're going to Belize!
